The journey to creating Kokokahn vegan and cruelty-free beauty products began with founder Tracy Dalrymple’s time in Japan. Traci was introduced to natural healing and wellness through the use of essential oils. From there, Salrymple began studying about essential oils and plants for aromatherapy and holistic healing. It wasn’t long before she traveled to Bali to learn even more about aromatherapy, and that was where she found the inspiration for the name of her company, Kokokahn. It is derived from the Balinese word “kokokan,” which means “white heron.”
Kokokahn commits to there being only the purest ingredients in their products, which means no phthalates, parabens, dyes, sulfates or other synthetic ingredients will ever be found in them. Further, all of the essential oils used in their products are run through a chemical analysis to be 100% sure that there are no synthetic ingredients. Additionally, they commit that, not only will they never perform animal testing on their products, but that they will never hire a third party to do it for them. They refuse to buy from suppliers who test on animals, or hire third parties to do so.
Kokokkahn vegan beauty products have an array of aromatherapy products that aim to deliver their healing properties to you in different ways. Their aromatic, essential oil-based products include:
- Aromatherapy inhalers
- Body scrubs
- Aromatherapy lotions
- Aromatherapy roll-ons
- Whipped body butters
- Massage and body oils
Kokokan has a line of aromatherapy for men, an area that often gets overlooked by aromatherapy and personal care product companies. Many times products from such companies are either feminine scents, or aimed to be unisex. Well Kokokahn has the men covered with their “Earth & Spice” line. They offer a repariative aftershave that is free of irritating alcohol, and instead uses witch hazel to offer anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. The aftershave has essential oils of clove, cardamom, patchouli, lavender and frankincense. For the shower, Kokokahn offers an Earth & Spice scrub made of Himalayan pink salts to renew skin and exfoliate away the dead skin. The salt is suspended in a mix of jojoba oil, patchouli and frankincense, for ultimate healing and calming properties.
