Beauty Bliss Cosmetics was founded by Lynn Starner, a skincare website owner, in November of 2004. After seeing an ad on a late night infomercial for mineral makeup, Starner decided to give it a try. She loved the makeup, but it irritated her skin. It was at this point that Lynn came up with the idea to make her own mineral makeup – mineral makeup that wouldn’t irritate the skin. Starner began a search for the best raw or “all-natural” ingredients. She tested her creations on her own skin and on the skin of a best friend that she claims had “the world’s most sensitive skin”. Lynn’s makeup worked, so she began Beauty Bliss Cosmetics with a “simple foundation line, finishing powder, eyeshadows and a few blushes”.
Today, Beauty Bliss Cosmetics sells 16 foundations, several finishing powders and more than 100 eyeshadow and blush colors with names like Shy, Divine, Red Oak and Pinktastic. Beauty Bliss also sells bronzers, concealers, brow color, body dusters, lipgloss, a beauty cleansing bar, makeup brushes, jars and an aloe vera based face refresher called “bliss spritz”.
