Vegan, cruelty-free beauty and makeup tool company Preen Kit is offering their new cruelty-free, vegan eyelash curler for just $1 to the first 500 people to order it on Amazon on Tuesday, November 6th (voting day!) between 6:00 a.m. Central time (8:00 a.m. EST, 5:00 a.m. PST) and 6:00 p.m. Central time (8:00 p.m. EST, 5:00 p.m. PST). To be clear, on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018, you have a 12-hour window to get this PETA-approved eyelash curler for $1 instead of the $10.50 for which it normally retails.
Now you may be wondering how a beauty tool that does not have hair or fiber could not be vegan and cruelty-free, and here is how Preen explains it:
Whilst many of us are really conscious about being cruelty-free when it comes to make-up and topical products, we sometimes fall short when it comes to beauty tools simply because the right information is not out there. Often beauty tools are not cruelty-free nor vegan since they’re polished with oils which contain pork products or are made from materials which have been tested on animals. I wanted to change that, which is why I launched my business, Preen Kit LTD.
Our curler is PETA registered 100% vegan, 100% cruelty free; it also has a hypoallergenic coating which is completely nickel free so it’s kind on sensitive eyes. In all our product tests it performed as well, if not better than the big brands in the eyelash curler world, like Shiseido, Shu Umera and Tweezerman – but none of those brands have vegan nor cruelty free policies in place.
Preen Kit, an English company, was founded by Stacey Parker and, as Preen Kit’s ‘About Us’ section explains, “Preen kit was founded by scientists who wanted to bring laboratory precision to the consumer market. We manufacture high grade grooming tools for use by professionals and serious groomers. Science makes our products great, not animals, that’s why we’re 100% cruelty free and vegan.”
So why is Preen Kit offering this veg, CF eyelash curler for only a dollar?

As they explained in an email, they are hoping to get reviews this way – Amazon no longer allows vendors to offer products for free in exchange for reviews, but there is nothing to stop a company from offering their product on the open (Amazon) market at a greatly reduced price, and to hope that people love their product enough to review it.
So, if you’re in the market for an eyelash curler, hit the below link on Tuesday, November 6th between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST / 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. PST, and try this cruelty-free, vegan eyelash curler out for only a dollar! Remember that this special price will end when the first 500 are sold. (You can follow the link before or after those hours too, but the price will be the regular price; they will reduce the price between those hours.)
