Often, simple is best. The Slab company manufactures their vegetarian body care products with this principle in mind. Good, wholesome, organic products made without unnecessary ingredients or packaging! Most are vegan, though a few contain honey. Despite its minimalist approach, this Oregon-based company doesn’t sacrifice quality, and their offerings are truly luxurious! We don’t know how they do it, exactly, but we’re impressed.
We’re so glad we discovered their website, www.slabsoap.com. Slab focuses on three types of body care products — soap, bath bombs and essential oils. Within that spectrum, the number of available items is impressive! Their extensive bar soap line utilizes sustainably sourced oils, and features such scents as Cinnamon Almond (described on the site as “warming on the skin and perfect for those colder months”, Cranberry Orange (whose “powerful antioxidant and cleansing properties, combined with the richness of the cranberry, create a truly uplifting experience”) and Cucumber Melon (“perfect after a long day in the sun”). These bars range in price from $7.50 for one bar to $72.00 for a dozen. You might as well pick up a few!
Slab offers twelve different varieties of bath bombs, which range in price from $6.00 for a single to $102.00 for a 20-pack. They’re all tantalizing and gorgeous, but we’re drawn to the Creamsicle variety. It’s jam-packed with nourishing cocoa butter, jojoba oil, argan oil, and rosehip oil, as well as the sweet notes of orange and vanilla. Enjoy this bath bomb and hold on to the aroma of summer just a bit longer! We can’t imagine a more uplifting scent.
Essential oils are great in your bath or in a diffuser, and Slab has a huge selection! Prices vary according to the type of oils you prefer. We’re big fans of sandalwood, and Slab sells bottles of this product for $66.48. A couple of drops is all you need of this super-concentrated formula! The deep, woodsy aroma is great for relaxation and meditation, since it’s so calming.
In addition to body care items, Slab also offers a small selection of beach towels and shirts, as well as a new hand sanitizer. Be sure to click on their “specials” tab for discounts, and their “samples” tab for small, $2.00 bars of soap. If you happen to find yourself in Salem, Oregon, Slab has posted a short list of stores that carry their line. Meanwhile, ordering from the website is easy and fun! As you can tell, we’re pretty impressed by this cruelty-free, mostly vegan, all-vegetarian company, and think you’ll feel the same.
