Our Mascots

Blanca & Blanquita

Blanca was rescued along with 16 other goats when the county seized the survivors of an abused and neglected herd. When the county stepped in, the 17 survivors were surrounded by many more goats who had already died.

Jack

Blanca was pregnant with Blanquita when we adopted her. Unfortunately, Blanquita passed away when she was two years old. Now Blanca has another rescued goat for a companion - Jack. Jack was rescued because the people who ran the farm where Jack was born did not want him to end up as somebody's dinner, a fate that often befalls unwanted male goats.

During the coldest days in Colorado, the goats wear coats.

Zion Health has perfected their clay-based vegan beauty products, and quickly amassed a cult following. San Francisco-based founder Haim Zion discovered the benefits of key ingredient Kanwa clay when he successfully used it to relieve the symptoms of his gum disease. Also know as calcium montmorillonite clay, Kanwa clay is now the key ingredient of their entire vegan beauty product line which includes teas, detox supplements and bath minerals. All of their products are completely vegan, cruelty-free and free of nasty additives such as sulfates, parabens and aluminum.

Zion Health offers several vegan facial treatments that come in options for several skin types. Their anti-wrinkle cream contains an amino acid to reduce wrinkle-depth and targets fine lines around eyes and forehead wrinkles. It also contains such healing ingredients such as aloe leaf juice, flax seed oil, green tea extract and rose hip oil. Their moisture max combines more than 60 trace minerals, along with almond oil, chamomile oil and yarrow oil to promote healing and infuse the skin with maximum hydration. If you are in need of a cleanser that will dig right in and cleanse your pores, their clay mask is made from pure Kanwa clay and is aided by sea kelp, balm mint, rosemary, wild thyme and witch hazel. This is a great option for those who are prone to acne breakouts.

For those looking to give the skin on their whole body a good cleansing, Zion Health offers a vegan skin detox option in their Clay Bath minerals. Because clay naturally pulls toxins such as chemicals and heavy metals out of the skin, it makes for a perfect detox bath. Simply pour in a hot bath and let it soak away all of the nasty chemicals in your skin.
