We love a company that is fun and colorful, in addition to being ethical, and boy does Rockeresque deliver. If you’re looking for bright pinks, deep purples, eye-popping oranges and electric blues, this is the cosmetic line for you. Rockeresque was founded in 2011, by founders who were looking to start a cosmetic line that is intentionally vegan and cruelty-free. Additionally, they offer “cosmetic education,” which helps to educate consumers, via website articles, about exactly what they are putting on their faces.

In fact, one of the pieces of education they have on their website states:

“100% Vegan versus “Vegan Friendly”

Vegan makeup means that nothing from an animal is used to create the product, including crushed insects and melted down animal fats. Please know such things are not needed to create a product, they are simply less expensive; therefore creating a higher profit for the companies who chose to use them.

While working with our cosmetics lab, to create our first professionally made product, we were educated about the difference between 100% Vegan versus “Vegan Friendly,” cosmetics. 100% vegan means exactly what it says, it is completely vegan. However, companies are legally allowed to say their product is “vegan friendly,” if only a certain percentage of ingredients used are non-vegan. This is done as a marketing tactic, which we believe is misleading and wrong. We want to share this important information with our clients who wish to only use vegan products. Rockeresque promises to always provide you with 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free cosmetics.”

Now that is what we like to hear from a cosmetic company.

Here are a few of our favorites from the Rockeresque cosmetic line:

1. “Dead as Night” Gel Eyeliner – This eyeliner is jet black and, the company promises, both smudge proof and water proof. It comes with its own synthetic brush for ease of application.

2. “Schoolyard Crush” Loose Eyeshadow – This is some serious pink glitter. It is a bubblegum pink that would make Barbie jealous. Rockeresque says they named this eyeshadow after that shade of “shade of bubblegum pink you turn when that special someone texts you saying how cute you look”.

3. Vegan makeup brushes – Rockeresque offers a collection of vegan makeup brushes that are an adorable shade of pink, and will brighten your vanity. Choose from a collection that includes an angled eyeliner and brow brush, eyeshadow brushes, angled countour brush, lip brush and precision eyeliner brush. Or, for under $60, get the entire collection.

If you’re having a hard time deciding which cosmetics to buy, you can also choose from their pre-packaged color kits, which includes collections such as: the Harajuku Tea Party, Sunshine Meltdown and Dark Vixen.
