Epic Suds proves that high-quality body care products don’t have to come from corporations. In fact, the freshest offerings can come from family-owned companies. If you like to support small businesses, Epic Suds delivers the goods. The founder, Traci, began the company with a personal mission: to discover ways to help her son with his ADHD. She wanted to avoid pharmaceuticals, which often have unpleasant side effects. Traci hit the jackpot with lavender essential oil, and continued innovating from there. Using lavender oil as a base, she began to craft a line of soaps, aimed at folks who want natural, vegetarian products. From there, she branched out to a larger line, including deodorant, bath bombs, and face cream.

The website, www.epicsuds.com, is clear and easy to navigate. It showcases Epic Suds’ eighteen products, including photos and descriptions of each one’s benefits. One of the company’s best-selling items is the Luxurious Body Butter ($4.00), which comes in seven different varieties. Our current favorite is the cedarwood, citrus and sage blend, which is great for autumn. The scent is relaxing and earthy, yet invigorating. Other varieties include java spice, lavender, spearmint/lime/lavender, Sea Buckthorn/Litsea Cubeba/Rosemary, and plain. The shea butter/coconut oil base nourishes your skin and leaves it glowing and refreshed. A little bottle of this goes a long way.

Epic Suds’ soap line offers a variety of scents, as well. Their price is exceptionally reasonable, as bars run from $2.75 to $10.00, depending upon size and ingredients. If you enjoy a lively scent, you’ll love the coffee scrub soap ($3.25-$10.00). This bar combines coffee grounds, cinnamon and ginger with shea butter and coconut oil to gently exfoliate your body while adding needed moisture to your skin. The scent is reminiscent of a fresh cup of morning java. Delightful!

If you like a bit of fun with your bath, you’ll love Epic Suds’ bath bombs ($3.00). They come in five different varieties, including pink salt and spearmint, blackberry, mint, activated charcoal, and aloe. At such a low price, you’ll want to try each one. Like all of the company’s ingredients, the bath bombs are phthalate free, paraben free
sulfate free, petroleum Free, free of synthetic dyes, and never tested on animals. And they smell heavenly!

Epic Suds does use honey in some of their products, so check their website for ingredients. They are a vegetarian line, though not a vegan one. Their website claims that the ingredients are only tested “on willing humans.” We can live with that! The staff is available for questions at any time, and open to inquiries about bulk orders, as well. At such low prices, you can’t go wrong here.
